UCLAN scores three prizes at Educate North Awards

The University of Central Lancashire had a hat-trick of wins at the 2019 Educate North Awards, held in Manchester on April 26.

In addition, a UCLan graduate won the 2019 University Entrepreneurs Grant, receiving the £1000 prize for start-up businesses.

Educate North Awards 2019 – winners announced

The North West’s education sector was celebrated at the Educate North Awards, held in Manchester on 25 April. Over 400 people witnessed a total of 23 awards handed out to competing education organisations and individuals.

Dr John Kennedy CBE was patron of the event and the Education North Awards were partnered by Carm Productions.

Rob McLoughlin’s Virtual Grand National 2019

The Virtual Grand National is back on ITV4 on Friday evening, 5 April, ahead of the live race the following day.

Last year’s correctly predicted the winner, Tiger Roll; a stunning achievement for the new virtual reality race. This will be the third year that the virtual reality race has attempted to predict the winner.

The Virtual Grand National is on ITV4 at 8pm on Friday, April 5, the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree Racecourse will be televised on ITV1 and the ITV Hub, with coverage starting at 1pm. The programme is produced by Carm Productions.

The Virtual Grand National – the future is here

Carm Productions’s Virtual Grand National correctly predicted that Tiger Roll would win the Grand National at Aintree on 14 April. It was a notable achievement given that the odds on the horse winning were 10-1.
